Dr. Michael Kerr serves as President of the Bowen Theory Academy Board and is widely recognized as a leading authority on Bowen Family Systems Theory. Kathleen Kerr is a founding Board Member and Treasurer of the Academy, providing leadership for the Family History Database Project, coordinating the Research Seminar, and supporting educational initiatives.

Each webcast is designed to deepen participants' knowledge of Bowen theory concepts, principles, and applications. Topics are carefully selected by Dr. Kerr and explore key aspects of family systems functioning, emotional processes, differentiation of self, multigenerational patterns, and other foundational elements of Bowen theory.

Participants receive access to previously recorded monthly sessions, followed by facilitated discussion opportunities. A total of 15 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available through the series.

The dates for the 2026-2027 WEBCAST LECTURE SERIES are:

  • Time: 12:30 pm-2:00 pm
  • Semester fees: $30 per individual session or $120.00 for Fall or $150.00 for Spring
  • CEU'S: 1.5 NASW approved CEU’s are available for each session
