* The KC Center applied for the Kauffman Technology Grant 2007 and was awarded a" Kauffman Fund for Kansas City" grant in April 2007. The grant funds were utilized to upgrade technology allowing for increased work capacity and for overall efficiency.
The KC Center received a 5 year(2006-2011) federal sub-award grant for
Healthy Marriage Education. The grant was for low-income unwed expectant
or new parents. These young parents were provided with an assessment
and evaluation, marriage education and family support services. The KC
Center was responsible for an initial and one year follow up family
evaluation. Descriptions and functional facts of multiple cases were
recorded and analyzed. Distinct patterns of family relationships
emerged.
